This week in class we listened to Curtis Mayfield. He famously recorded the soundtrack to the movie Superfly. He was twice inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was very politically active and a pioneer of funk music. His music was very popular during the Civil Rights Movement. I personally love his music because I love funk and I think it's very catchy.
