In class this week we started to watch a movie about The Beatles first visit to America. One of the best parts of the video was when Paul called a radio dj a wanker and the dj didn't understand and thought it was a compliment. I really enjoyed this movie, and hope that other videos we watch in class will be this interesting. It effectively showed their talent, while also showing their humorous side.
The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show
One of my favorite parts of the video is the girls' reaction to them shaking their hair. It shows that girls haven't changed that much. Also, I find it incredible that they were able to be perfectly on pitch every single song, every single show, without microphones in their ears, and unable to hear not only the band, but also not able to hear themselves over the screaming fans. It makes me wonder, who will be the next big band to be as successful and loved as The Beatles. Again, thank you for reading The Jack Barton Blog, and have a nice day!
